Big bow collection for sale: Around 300 bows will be listed in the next months. The bows are part of a big violin collection of over 120 violins which were in possession of one old Gentleman over the last 35 years.
For sale is a beautiful German violin bow with stamp L. Bausch Leipzig. The bow was probably built by a member of the Knopf family for Ludwig Bausch in Leipzig around 1880. It is in a very good condition with no cracks or repairs on the stick. The frog has a small damage on the ebony which can be seen on the photos. The bow has a wonderful round pernambuco wood stick with a medium strength tension. The bow plays very well despite its light weight of 55g and feels good in the hand. All parts on the bow are made of silver and the total lenghts is 741mm
